~ What do I need to bring with me to rent a unit or storage space?
We require a photo ID (driver's license or other government-issued ID only) and an alternate mailing address and phone number of a friend
or family member not residing at the same address as you.
~ Do I have to put money down to rent a unit or storage space? Yes. You will pay a month's rent (prorated if you sign a lease after the 1st of the month) plus the deposit or administrative fee.
~ Do you take reservations? Will you hold a unit or space for me?
We do not accept reservations. Rentals are first come, first served. This applies to both new and returning customers.
~ What vehicles are permitted for outdoor storage?
RVs, travel trailers, 5th wheels, open/enclosed trailers, cars, and boats ONLY. No exceptions. Vehicles must be in running condition and properly licensed. Cars must be in running condition, 2006 or newer, and registered to individual on the lease agreement (proof of registration required).
~Is there after-hours access to the facility? What if I need to get to my storage unit or recreational vehicle in the middle of the night?
Access hours are strictly 6am-9pm. No exceptions.
~ What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, money order or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover. We do not accept American Express at this time).
~ Can I pay my rent online every month?
We do not currently offer that payment option, but you may
arrange to have your rent automatically withdrawn from a checking
account or credit card (Autopay).
~ What if I'm not sure what size unit I need for my belongings?
You may call the office or stop in (no appointment necessary) and the
manager will assist you in determining which size will suit your needs.
You may also view a vacant unit to get a visual sense of the space you
may be working with.
~ What if I only need storage for a few days or a week?
Our facility only rents by the month, so you will be required to pay for
a full month's rent even if you store on the property for less than a
~ How do month-to-month lease terms work?
The month-to-month lease is structured so that the lease
automatically renews each month on the 1st of the month until either the lessee (customer) or
lessor (Brooklyn Park Mini Storage) gives notice that they plan to end
~ Do you provide a lock for the unit or do I bring my own?
You may use your own lock or buy one of ours.
~ What is the purpose of a damage or security deposit? Will I get it back?
A deposit ensures we will be able to cover the cost of disposal of items
a tenant may leave behind when they vacate the unit. A deposit is
refunded to the customer after they vacate providing they follow the
terms of the lease.
